Hi Folks,
Thanks for taking the time to look into the ‘ONE & ONLY’ website. What’s on show here is a broad selection of mainly 3d sculpture works, the principle focus of my arts practice. Aside to my sculpture practice I am also engaged to a lesser extent with the production of Paintings and Photography along with the part-time tuition of Woodwork within a Youth Program.

With my sculpture work I am very mindful of the culture of materials. Having a broad skill base gives me the ability to work in many mediums and allows me to choose the materials that best explore my concepts and ideas. I am drawn to the ocean, live by the seaside and consistently work within marine themes. Other interests and influences to my work include sub-culture, alternative music and culture, sustainable and environmental issues and concerns along with the human condition, social order and behaviour.

Much of my work is made in response to exhibiting opportunities, invitations to exhibit and ‘artists briefs’. Occasionally I will take on a commission. Along with these forays into the public domain I periodically ‘hatch’ my own installations and Solo shows.

The business name ‘ONE & ONLY’ was registered in 1994 as the ‘umbrella’ under which I would make predominantly ‘ONE OF’ sculpture pieces and artworks. Occasionally I will make a small edition run of a particular work, generally limited to 12. However each piece within an edition will have a unique quality or sensibility that will separate that piece from the others within that ‘run’. The only exception to this rule would be in a limited edition run of photography.
This site will be periodically updated with images of new works and details of upcoming events.
